Patent for Karin Föttinger for Development of New CO₂ Conversion Catalyst

Karin Föttinger (PI of P10) and her students successfully developed a new process that uses a molybdenum-based catalyst (MoS₂) that can convert CO₂ to methanol. This new technology facilitates CO₂ reduction in the atmosphere by turning the waste gas CO₂ into a valuable product – contributing to the fight against climate change.

The process has already been patented and is currently undergoing scale-up to industrial scale.
