Ulrike Diebold has given the keynote talk at the award ceremony of the Vienna section of the 45th Austrian Physics Olympiad 2026. The award ceremony took place in a lecture hall on the TU Wien campus at Gußhausstraße on March 4. In her lecture, Ulrike introduced the Olympiad winners to surface physics and how one gets from the detection of single atoms on surfaces to technological applications.
